Webinar Generative Design with Topology Optimization was successfully held.
The event takes place virtually from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, 25 February 2021. The webinar drew the interest of participants from Automotive Industries, Consumer Good Industries, and Heavy Industries.
The keynote speaker Candra Dinigrat, Engineering Solution Consultant PT ISID Indonesia, explained about Background, Topology Optimization, Workflow Generative Design, Design Constraints, and Demo Simple Cantilever & Elevator Crank Convergent Modeling.
The main topic in this webinar is the generative design method, with the generative design method you can generate a shape based on mathematical calculations and certain constraints with the help of CAE capabilities.
The benefit that can be taken by participants is that they can know and master the basic workflow generative design which if applied optimally can help them in the design innovation process faster than before and also can reduce the weight of the design structure they have but with strength or maintained rigidity. For example, the story from Bugatti for their product Chiron managed to reduce the sub-assembly on the wing mechanism by 50% and because they use a generative design method they can accelerate the innovation process by as much as 10 times.
